Fuel Line Work

Picture 2
The previous owner did not have the correct lines installed. As you can see above there is just a solid line from the pump to the carb. Not only was it the wrong line, the lower flare on the line was a single flare that was cracked and probably leaking. The new lines included the external fuel filter that incorporates the return line. However the return line had not been connected for who knows how long. It was also disconnected at the tank end. With the exhaust system welded in there was no way to reach up and connect the rubber return line to the tank. This led me to have to drop the tank.
You can see the new lines and filter in these two pictures. The first time I started the car the line from the filter to the carb leaked. I replaced it with the other one I had on hand and tightened it down pretty hard. It finally didn't leak.
